Many companies have offices and branches thus the ability to handle virtually orders and deliveries, also represents a less waste of money. Of course the link is computerized and it allows to work with more dynamic not only among employees but also regularizing relations with the customers themselves, they fail to reach the main office if they place an order or receive information.
